At eXtreme Racing Gear, we’re more than just a gear manufacturer — we’re a race community. We’re a crew of friends who love getting outside, getting muddy, and pushing each other to explore what’s possible. Founded and led by David Dalling, XR-Gear brings together athletes who share a passion for trail running, mountain biking, and adventure racing to design and produce the tools that make AR easier, smarter, and more enjoyable.
Our roots run deep in the adventure racing community. What started as a love of MTB and tinkering with equipment eventually sparked the creation of XR-Gear — a brand dedicated to making navigation and racing easier for everyone who loves the sport.
Every product we make was born out of a real problem we faced on the course. The fumble of reading a map at speed. The chaos of loading nutrition at a transition. The frustration of a compass that won’t stay where you need it. We don’t design from a boardroom — we design from the saddle, the trail, and the start line.
That means every XR-Gear product is tested in real race conditions before it ever reaches your hands. If it doesn’t make your race faster, cleaner, or simpler — we go back to the drawing board.
XR-Gear specializes in handlebar-mounted navigation systems, map boards, and race accessories built for adventure racing, orienteering, and endurance events. Our products are designed to be lightweight, modular, and tough enough to handle whatever the course throws at them — mud, rain, river crossings, night stages, and everything in between.
XR-Gear exists because of the adventure racing community — and we’re committed to giving back to it. We sponsor racers, support events, and are constantly listening to feedback from athletes at every level.
